The Life-Depot Search Engine™
A search engine of curated websites that filters garbage and delivers human values!
The Life-Depot Search Engine is your NEW survival guide to the Internet World of Information and Misinformation!
If utility is our principle and we seek to utilize everything favorably for the spiritual good and material welfare of human society, then what information does human society really need to succeed in life as individuals, families and communities?
To answer this question, we started by collecting the website categories featured at similarweb.com and then we labelled them according to 3 broader divisions according to their relevance to a sustainable decentralized society as either:
1. Useful valuable Information (to accept)
2. Questionable Information (to consider) or
3. Useless Information (to reject)
What became painfully apparent is the lack of values in most of even the potentially useful categories; effectively making them useless. For example, the arts and entertainment category can clearly be utilized favorably to cultivate spirituality and positive values through music, theater, movies and fine arts, but the vast overwhelming majority of arts and entertainment websites on the Internet are everything but that; and are more often the exact opposite of that.
We concluded the need for: "A search engine that curates content in all the favorable useful categories of human life to facilitate the systematic propagation of positive knowledge to society at large and educate all peoples in the core techniques of a fulfilling human life, in order to check the imbalance of values in life and achieve real unity and peace in the world." Thus was born our mission statement!
The imbalance of values in life can all be found on the #1 website in the world, which is currently the search engine at Google.com (through no fault of google's to be fair - they simply mirror what's out there), followed by the #2 search engine (de facto) Youtube.com!
If all those algorithms can effectively divide the world into their respective contentious ideological/political bubbles and echo chambers, then why can't we unite the world in peace by the same method by disseminating information that cultivates positive universal human values? We think we can! So we are doing it! (With a little help from Google who shares in the credit for any good that comes from this project!)
Just as google and youtube are unwitting gateways to all categories of vice and moral corruption, our new search engine seeks to be the premier gateway to spiritually valuable unifying content!
The benefits of filtering out all the useless garbage information by creating a human values based search engine are clear:
1. Save time
2. Save money
3. Save your consciousness
4. Save your soul
5. Develop spirituality
6. Promote spirituality
7. Share spirituality
8. Check the imbalance of values in life
9. Promote global unity
10. Promote global peace
Enjoy using the Life-Depot Search Engine and making the world a better place!

Our next project is to review and curate categories and websites that meet our editorial policy from the DMOZ (Open Directory Project) at https://www.dmoz-odp.org/ which is the world's largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web with 90K+ editors, 1 million+ categories and nearly 4 million websites in 90+ languages! These are websites curated by people, but not necessarily inline with our editorial policies.
This is how they organize their directory in 15 broad topics:
